Re-Opening After COVID-19
To our dear patients,
On behalf of my staff and myself, I welcome you back to our family of fine patients. Thank you for selecting us as your personal dental health care providers.
We want you to know that we pride ourselves on trying to make dentistry a pleasant experience for you. You may always expect to be treated as a guest when visiting us.
The past few months have been a very challenging time for all of us.
We are pleased to announce that after three and a half months we will be reopening on Monday July 6th, 2020.
We are implementing the new guidelines and protocols according to the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, the Ministry of Health and the British Columbia Centre for Disease control.
We have designed our safety protocol to minimize risk and help you feel comfortable returning to our dental office.
Prior to scheduling your dental hygiene or dental appointment you are now required to complete prescreening questionnaires either by phone or by email to ensure that we keep our patients and staff healthy.
We assess each patient‘s individual needs and determine your level of risk based on your health history and age. When necessary we consult with your medical physicians and specialists.
You are required to wear a facemask upon entering the dental office. On arrival you will be met by one of our dental staff members in the concierge area where you can sanitize your hands and have your forehead temperature taken.
Social distancing is strictly observed in the reception area and while you are escorted into the dental treatment room. You will then be asked to remove your mask and be given a pretreatment rinse.
There is only one dental patient and one hygiene patient in the office at any given time and the appointment times are staggered.
Each treatment room is thoroughly wiped down with a surface disinfectant that kills viruses, bacteria and fungus. A minimum of twenty minutes of settling time is allowed before the next scheduled appointment.
We have introduced Surgically Clean Air purifier systems in our office which play a significant role in reducing transmittable bio-aerosols and fine airborne viruses.
We are very fortunate to have several large windows on a corner suite which allows us to facilitate filtered positive air flow within each room.
Our dental team are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment including surgical masks, protective eyewear, face shields, surgical gowns and gloves. We strictly follow the guidelines to ensure the highest standards of infection control and prevention.
You will then be asked to put on your mask and check out with our reception.
